Ok so I lied

I intended to post pictures and everything and add some content to my knit-along and what happens. I get slammed with projects at work. My summer course is coming to an end and low and behold I've got two missing projects to turn in and as if that is not enough. My computer goes haywire, so now I have to borrow my sister's laptop to finish the school stuff, (I'm taking a break to post this)and find a way to get her to let me upload the pictures. Aaaarrgghhhhh. To top it all I think I'm getting allergic to certain types of yarn. Double aaaaarrrgggghhhhh. So no posting until this weekend. I'm too tired to try and take beautiful photos of projects that I want to wrap up but can't due to work, school and an affinity for starting new projects when the old ones aren't done yet.

I have made great progress on the Sunrise Circle Jacket, that puppy will be wearable by Fall. The back isn't done yet but I've got a spur in my bonnet about it and I've made progress on Erin for the Rowan Ribbon Twist collection and I started the minisweater from Glamprye and I'm almost done with the bolero from Debbie Bliss and I'm in lust with Rowan again something I didn't think would happen after magazine 39 but when I saw Rambling Rose it became an instant must knit. Just thinking about it is making me want to spend some time taking photos of the project.

This weekend the pictures get posted. Maybe I'll sign up for Flicker and actually organize my blog as well. Hmmmmmmmmm.

The Good The Bad and The Ugly

The good thing about no one but your mother reading your blog. When the updates are few and far between(see last post). There isn't any pressure to come up with content.

The bad thing about it. The ability to slack off and do everything but put up content, increase ten fold and so you wind up reading other blogs until you forget that you have a blog.

The ugly thing. Your blog goes on for months without so much as a boo.

So.......boo.

An actual post complete with pictures will come tomorrow and I mean it. I've got batteries in the camera, a couple of completed projects that I will pretend were recently completed and a whole host of future knits, paintings and Japanese embroidery.

Sign me up

I have successfully joined a sew along and the ever inspiring Crafting Japanese. Yippee! Raspy is on the ropes and will be done soon, and I'm on gauge for another project, my crafting is just getting better. I just need some time to work on my phase 1 which is also on the ropes, life is sooooooo good.

Pictures to come this weekend between studying for one midterm and completing another that's a take home.

Muppet personality

I tried this test three times each hoping for a different result. I have to accept it, I'm

You Are Dr. Bunsen Honeydew

You take the title "mad scientist" to the extreme -with very scary things coming out of your lab.

And you've invented some pretty cool things, from a banana sharpener to a robot politician.

But while you're busy turning gold into cottage cheese, you need to watch out for poor little Beaker!

"Oh, that's very naughty, Beaker! Now you eat these paper clips this minute."

The more I think about it the more I realize how true this is.

Turning Japanese, I think I'm turning Japanese, I really think so

This short but sweet post is in reference to the wonderful Japanese crafting and knitting books I received in the post.

I am in loooooovvveeeee with these books and the projects. I'll have to add money to the projects budget. I've narrowed the first project from each one, more on that to come late cause dancing with the stars is on and darn they kicked off Stacey but my favorite is Drew so the rest of the photos will have to wait. Added to which I've made great head way with Raspy and I've got to post those picks as well.

First Ever Posting

Technically this is the second ever posting, the first seems to have gone the way of the dodo bird. Anywho, I finally have another outlet for my knitting (the family has started to get bored with talk of knits and purls).

First up is the wonderfull addition to my stash of patterns. I'm sneeking time on the job to do this so...... the images will have to wait until I get home. That's gonna take some time because I have to go to the library for a project tonight.

I am quite proud of myself I got over a particularly hard section of my embroidery. Phase 1 is almost done and dusted.

Here's another photo:

And yet another photo, I'm just sooooo happy that I've managed to get this far:

I don't have any pictures of phase1 from before I started to now but trust me I've come a long way babe. However, I'm going to begin phase 4 and I've got the images from that, it's not even on the frame yet. Sshhhhhhhhhhhhhh, don't tell my teacher. She's concerned that I might have too many frames going and quite as kept., so am I but with phase 1 wrapping up production I feel energized. Also phase 2/3 is still languishing on the frame. I am determined to have it done by the end of the year.
